Tennis expert Barry Cowan absolutely believes that there is no place in tennis for the behavior world No. 27 Nick Kyrgios displayed on the court during his Cincinnati Masters second round clash against ninth-ranked Karen Khachanov.

No. 8 seed Khachanov came from a set down to beat Kyrgios 6-7 (3) 7-6 (4) 6-2 but his comeback win was overshadowed by the Australian's on-court antics and outbursts. The 24-year-old wasn't happy with many things on the court but he was particularly unhappy with chair Fergus Murphy -- whom he accused of starting the shot clock earlier while mentioning Rafael Nadal and saying the Spaniard gets a different treatment.

"(The umpire) done nothing wrong according to the rules," Cowan said, as revealed on the 7NEWS. "He's starting the shot clock when he should be. It's irrelevant what happens in other matches." Kyrgios' rant included breaking two rackets in a tunnel, throwing a bottle, calling chair umpire Murphy a "potato" and a "f***ing tool," appearing to spit in the direction of Murphy after the match and not shaking hands with him.

"What he did at the end was, quite frankly, disgusting," Cowan claimed. "(I want to see) a big fine for Kyrgios. I personally don't like not shaking hands but he also appeared to spit in his direction. "He said he was turning a corner (after winning the Washington title) but that's a step back."
