World No. 131 James Duckworth, 27, was extremely happy with the way he performed and handled the pressure at the Baotou Challenger throughout the week. The 27-year-old didn't finish his quarterfinal match against Goncalo Oliveira as the Portuguese retired the match after losing the opening five games of the match "I’m very happy to have won the title here in Baotou.
It’s not easy when you’re the No. 1 seed and going into every match as the favourite. I thought I dealt with the pressure quite well and winning the tournament this week has given me important ranking points," Duckworth said after winning the trke, per Tennis TourTalk. Duckworth will now be hoping to continue his winning run at the Jinan Challenger, where he is the No. 4 seed.
