Australian tennis star John Millman gave a tongue-in-cheek response to English cricketer Kevin Pietersen's latest tweet in which he spoke about his dislike for the city of Brisbane, according to Yahoo Sports. Pietersen wrote on Twitter during the opening match of the BBL game between Brisbane Heat and Sydney Thunder.
“The BBL starts in Brisbane. Quite smart really. Get the dump out the way early door, then move on to proper Australia cities”. The BBL (Big Bash League) is an Australian professional franchise Twenty20 cricket league.
Pietersen's dislike for Brisbane is not new. Prior to the 2017-18 Ashes series, Pietersen had said, "It’s a s***hole. I’ve got the Test match then I’ll be on the first airplane out of here as soon as the last ball is bowled, don’t worry”.
Fellow tennis player James Duckworth saw the tweet and asked Millman his thoughts to which Millman replied, "Entitled to his opinion mate. Just don’t ask him for a selfie." Millman was referring to an incident a few years ago when British tennis player Dan Evans said he was snubbed when he asked Pietersen for a selfie outside a Melbourne restaurant, to which Pietersen later apologized to the British star.
