The exhibition event The Netflix Slam did not disappoint expectations. Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal put on a show at the Michelob Ultra Arena at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Carlitos came from behind to win with a score of 3-6, 6-4, 14-12. The good news concerns the excellent form in which Nadal showed up on the court. A performance that gives us hope in view of the ATP Masters 1000 in Indian Wells and the clay court season.

After the match, Carlitos shared beautiful words for Nadal, underlining how special it is always to play against the 22-time Grand Slam champion.

"Playing against Rafa is always special for me. From Rafa I learned his fighting spirit. He never gives up, he hits incredible shots from every corner of the court. I'm trying to incorporate into my game this same ability to find solutions when things aren't right. going well. It's admirable," Alcaraz said after the match against Nadal.

Before the match, Alcaraz explained that he did not feel disappointed by the lack of titles after Wimbledon 2023.

"It's not a failure, I will have to learn from these experiences and these moments. People think that if you don't win tournaments it's a problem, but that's not the case" explained the Murcian in a press conference in Las Vegas on the occasion of the exhibition against Rafa Nadal.

Last year in the hard court season in North America they reached the quarterfinals of the Masters 1000 in Canada, the final in Cincinnati with Djokovic and the semifinals of the US Open. I certainly could have done better from September onwards, not lowering my level and concentration as happened to me.
