Carlos Alcaraz won the Roland Garros semifinal against Jannik Sinner in five sets and qualified for the Paris final in which he will face German champion Alexander Zverev. Alcaraz with this success further improved a statistic that is impressive.

He has won every match he has played in his career in the fifth set with one exception. Beating him was Matteo Berrettini in a fifth-set super tie break in the 2022 edition of the Australian Open. Only career defeat in the fifth set by Matteo Berrettini in the third round of the Australian Open 2022: 6-2 7-6 4-6 2-6 7-6. At Roland Garros 2022 marathon won with Ramos in the second round 6-1 6-7 5-7 7-6 6-4. At Wimbledon 2022, success in the first round over Struff 4-6 7-5 4-6 7-6 6-4.
