Wimbledon will hold a new edition starting next Monday, a tournament that has as defending champion Carlos Alcaraz, who comes from falling in the second round of the ATP 500 of Queen’s, where he was also the monarch of the last edition, with the local idol, Jack Draper.

The current World No.3 experienced a new training day this Monday at the venue where the third Major of the calendar is held, a work session in which he shared court with the three-time Grand Slam champion, Stanislas Wawrinka.

Update on Carlos Alcaraz

Young Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz and the Swiss champion trained for two hours, in addition to playing two sets that went to the hands of the native of El Palmar, who stayed with both partials with a score of 6-4, with a second set that started from 2-2 equal to finish in time.

Alcaraz coached under the direction of Pablo Carreño Carreño’s coach, Samuel López, who accompanied him for the last time before the arrival of Juan Carlos Ferrero, a methodology they had also applied last year since the ATP 500 of Queen’s.

For the first time in history an Italian tennis player will lead the seeding of a Slam tournament. Jannik Sinner will also reach this important milestone in the prestigious Wimbledon event, at which he will be at the starting line as one of the main favorites.

The official list of the 32 seedlings in London, a week from the start, has been released. There are still several knots from cliffs before the start: in case Novak Djokovic decides to take part in the competition, Carlos Alcaraz will be number 3 and will have to cross one between Nole and the Italian in the semifinals.

As for the 22-year-old Italian, in the round of 16 there will be a hypothetical crossing with Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, Holger Rune or Ugo Humbert.
