A sweaty and very tormented victory but once again Carlos Alcaraz proved to have a great physical and mental condition and to be, together with Italian ace Jannik Sinner, one of the great favorites for the final victory of the 2024 Wimbledon Championships.

Against Tiafoe the Spaniard won in comeback and on the fifth set, he highlighted troubling ups and downs during the press conference and explained that there are several aspects to try to grow, especially during the course of their match: "The ups and downs are not about your opponent but about yourself.

Then it is clear that you can have difficulties related to the level of the tennis player and in that case it becomes more complicated. To stay at this level you have to be strong mentally and not give up at any time, in some stretches I played a great tennis but then especially in the second and third set I was wrong too and this must not happen again. My goal is to maintain a high level and such intensity throughout the challenge".

The commentator asked Alcaraz if he asked or thought to ask for the advance of his match to see Spain and Carlos smiling replied: "Sincerely no, we are at Wimbledon and I think about this. But I appreciate that they put me in the first match. The exultation like Bellingham? We are in England and here he is an icon". Alcaraz will now face Ugo Humbert from France, a tennis player who will play in the round of 16.

A very interesting draw but all await the possible semi-final between Alcaraz and Sinner, revenge of the semi-final of Roland Garros and yet another challenge between the two main exponents of new tennis with their rivalry considered as the future of tennis after the Big Three.
