As reported by the Vanderbilt University website, the Dores men's tennis team chose to travel to the Columbus Regional, hosted by Ohio State, for the 2024 ITA kickoff weekend scheduled for January 26-29. The Dores will compete as the No.

4, opening the game against the No. 2 seed and hosting No. 4 Ohio State. Depending on the results, the Commodores will move on to face either #48 Oregon or #60 Boise State. The winner of the Columbus Regional will earn a spot in the ITA National Team Indoor Championships, on February 16-19 2024.

Hosted by Columbia University, the tournament will take place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Since the inaugural tournament in 2009, the Commodores have competed in the ITA Kickoff Weekend every year except 2021, when the tournament field was cut in half due to social distancing precautions.

We also recall that the new Vanderbilt men’s tennis head coach Scott Brown announced the addition of two assistant coaches to his staff on Monday. TJ Pura and Geoff Hernandez will aid Brown in writing the next chapter of the program.
