Big news for the Monmouth University men's tennis team. Chris Leicht, head coach, announced the addition of three new student-athlete transfers to the program for the upcoming fall semester, Alex Martinez Sanz, Mateo Bivol and Francisco Erramuspe.

Leicht explained: "I'm super excited to welcome these new tennis recruits to our Monmouth family. I know everyone can make a strong contribution to our team. These guys can help us achieve our goal of winning a CAA title and advance at the NCAA Tournament." Alex Martinez Sanz spent one season at North Carolina A&T State University.

In his freshman season, Sanz primarily competed at No. 4 in singles and No. 2 in doubles. He received Chancellor's List honors in the fall of 2023 and the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll in the 2022-23 season.

Matteo Bivol spent two seasons at Newbury College before moving to Monmouth.

Undefeated in regular season conference play through the 2023 season. During his time with Wolves, Bivol primarily competed at No. 1 in singles and No. 1 in doubles. Francesco Erramuspe spent three seasons at Troy University. He has released an overall record of 8-8 singles at TU.

He spent one season at East Tennessee State and earned a redshirt. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in computer science from Troy University. He has represented Uruguay in international junior tournaments.

Founded in 1933 as Monmouth Junior College, it became a university in 1995. It currently has approximately 6,500 students and over 73% of faculty members hold a PhD or Master's degree. The student-faculty ratio is 15:1. 44% of students live on campus.

Monmouth University has held multiple academic symposia on the work of Bruce Springsteen and houses the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music.

Monmouth's athletic teams are known as the Hawks. The Hawks compete as members of the Colonial Athletic Association. The school had competed as a Division I (NCAA) school in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference from 2013 to 2023.
