They will be Iñaki Montes and Jeffrey von der Schulenburg, senior tennis players on the University of Virginia menps team, who will compete in the Battle in the Bay Classic tournament, which will be held September 21-24 at the California Tennis Club in San Francisco, California.

The tournament features doubles and singles competitions with the best men's and women's tennis players in the country. Winners of the singles championship will also earn a wildcard entry into the Tiburon ATP Challenger or the Fairfield ATP Challenger.

Players from Georgia, Pepperdine, Arizona, Fresno State, TCU, Stanford, Michigan State, Oklahoma, San Diego, UCSB, USF, California, Southern California, Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Florida, Virginia Tech and Pacific are participating in the tournament.

Live video streams will be available. Scores and results will be posted on VirginiaSports.com. We recall Iñaki Montes de la Torre was named to the 2023 Academic All-American men's tennis team, as a selection by College Sports Communicators.

Montes was one of 18 student-athletes to receive Academic All-American honors this season, being named to the second team of five players.
