Ohio State University men's tennis team beat Baylor 4-1, bringing Ohio State tennis director Ty Tucker to a sensational milestone. The victory marked a new record in Ty Tucker's extraordinary career. This was his 700th career victory: 700-101 in his 25 seasons.

The Buckeyes will have a week and a half off before returning to Texas to face No. 10 Texas on March 10 and No. 12 Texas A&M on March 13.

The match

The Buckeyes dropped the point in doubles but showed their dominance in singles, winning easily in four games and earning a 4-1 victory Wednesday night in Waco.

Robert Cash and JJ Tracy both went 2-0 that night, winning their doubles match and then putting the first two points on the board for the Buckeyes with tied 6-2, 6-2 victories.

Baylor won the doubles point with victories on courts two and three. Cash and Tracy, the #1 team. 4 in the country, they earned their second win of the spring with a dominant 6-1 victory over Tadeas Paroulek and Zsombor Velcz on the first court. Cannon Kingsley and Andrew Lutschaunig fell by the same score on court three and Baylor got a break at 4-3 and would hold on for a 6-3 victory on court two.

Buckeyes reeled off six wins in the first singles set to regain control of the match. Following victories by Tracy and Cash, Justin Boulais beat Velcz on court one 6-4, 6-2 and then Jack Anthrop provided the deciding point with his 6-2, 6-2 victory on court five.

Tracy's two wins Wednesday were his 200th and 201st career wins. Cash also comes within nine doubles wins of the program record.
