Monmouth University men's tennis team suffered a setback, losing after an important streak in a hard-fought battle to St. John's with the final score of 4-3, Wednesday afternoon at the USTA National Tennis Center.

As mentioned, the loss ended the Hawks' five-game winning streak. The Hawks will return home for four home games starting with Marist on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Despite singles victories by Mateo Bivol, Adam Hillerby and Alex Martinez Sanz, the Hawks were unable to secure a doubles point or victory over the Johnnies.

Bivol won his sixth consecutive singles match while Hillerby extended his personal singles streak to 13.

2. The match between Martin Bugaj and Ignacio Vinas (STJ) against Gabriel Berner and Adam Hillerby (MON) remained unfinished 5-4
