2016 Division I ITA Men’s All-American Championships: Preview and the last qualifying round results

2016 Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships is the first opportunity to gather the best players from Collegiate tennis in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The two-week event will mostly take part at the Michael D.

Case Tennis Center, and this marks the 12th year that Tulsa organizes the Men's All-American Championships. Besides taking the prestige title, all players that reach the quarter-final in singles (together with consolation champions) will receive an automatic entry into the 2016 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships that will be held at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York from November 3-6.

Mikael Torpegaard from Ohio State leads the field, ahead of Thai-Son Kwiatkowski, who won both singles and doubles titles at last year's Men’s All-American Championships, Georgia Tech’s Christopher Eubanks, Stanford’s Tom Fawcett, Wake Forest’s Skander Mansouri, Petros Chrysochos, Texas A&M’s Arthur Rinderknech and North Carolina’s Ronnie Schneider. Players from the ACC are the dominant figure at this event in the last 6 years, and in the past some of the winners were John Isner, James Blake, Bob Bryan and Wimbledon finalist MaliVai Washington.
