2016 Division I ITA Women’s All-American Championships: Preview and the main draw

The Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, California, will be the host site of the 2016 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships for the 31st year running, assembling 32 Collegiate players in the first national championship tournament of the 2016-17 season. Those who reach the semi-final in singles or become main draw consolation champions will receive automatic entrance to the 2016 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships that will be held at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York from November 3-6.

Some strong names are missing from the at-large selection, including Ellen Perez, Brooke Austin, Maegan Manasse, Brienne Minor, Sydney Campbell and Andie Dikosavljevic, so the tops seeds will be Hayley Carter, Luisa Stefani, and Francesca Di Lorenzo. Florida and Oklahoma State will have 3 players each in the main draw, with 2 from Georgia, North Carolina, and Pepperdine.Just like in the men's draw, SEC Conference is most represented, with 13 participants, whereas ACC has 7 players in contention.
