Western Michigan men's squad ready to defend Mid-American Conference title

Western Michigan Broncos men's tennis team will open their Mid-American Conference battle this weekend, against Ball State and Toledo. Last year, the Broncos took both the Regular season title and MAC Tournament Championship and they enter the Conference action with a 9-6 score, 6-2 at home.

Jannik Opitz, Eric Olivarez, and Kennosuke Nouchi are on a good run this season in singles, including fall matches, while Matt Hamilton is 11-3 in dual matches this spring. The doubles teams are also looking good and it will be interesting to follow Western Michigan in the next month or so, facing 7 Conference rivals until April 22.
