Div I / W: Oklahoma State eases past uncomplete Kansas 4-0

Greenwood Tennis Center was again the lucky ground for Oklahoma State Cowgirls, scoring their 10th sweep of the season and 6th straight against Kansas Jayhawks, beating them 4-0 to improve to 17-4 this spring. Kansas played without Maria Toran Ribes and they couldn't complete their line-up for this tie, which led to a point lost on doubles court 3 and singles court 6. Thus, Katarina Adamovic/Viktoriya Lushkova had no duties on court 3 while Vladica Babic/Carla Tur Mari defeated Tess Bernard-Feigenbaum/Nina Khmelnitckaia 6-2 on the main court to clinch the doubles point for Oklahoma State. Aliona Bolsova/Sofia Blanco were also very close to cross the finish line and win the match, leading Janet Koch/Anastasia Rychagova 5-2 on court 2 before the match was abandoned.

Katarina Stresnakova added the second point for the Cowgirls on singles court 6, as Kansas failed to send the player to that court, and Oklahoma State took the opening set on 4 out of 5 competitive courts. Aliona Bolsova took down Janet Koch 6-2 6-2 on court 3 to push the Cowgirls 3-0 up, and it was Vladica Babic who delivered the 4th point, ousting Nina Khmelnitckaia 6-3 6-2 on court 4 to wrap up what has been an easy tie for the 9th-ranked team. Lena Ruppert was also close to winning the match, leading 6-1 5-4 against Maria Toran Ribes while the Jayhawks fought stronger on courts 1 and 2, but it was too late to make any changes.
