2017 ITA National Summer Championships, hosted by TCU at Fort Worth, Texas, is coming to its closing stages after the last 16 round has been completed. In men's section, Connor Curry and Kyle Mautner are the highest seeds still remained in the draw, and they are set to play in the semi-final stage. Dylan Bednarczyk defeated Jesse Rudek-Hook 6-2 7-6 and his next rival will be Tyler Schick who took down Martin Joyce 7-6 6-1.
Eric Rutledge made a nice comeback against George Harwell, prevailing by 4-6 6-2 10-8 and he will face Alexandru Grigorescu (the lowest-ranked player left in the draw) who celebrated against Gabe Tishman in another thriller, by 4-6 6-3 13-11.
Marius Frosa beat Matheus Ferreira Leite 7-6 6-3 to reach the last 8 against Kyle Mautner, who ousted Toby Boyer 6-1 4-6 10-4. Alexander Lebedev edged Rodrigo Banzer by 7-5 7-6 and he will try to take down the second seed Connor Curry who defeated Johnny Goodwin 6-2 6-4.
Kaitlyn Mccarthy, the top seed in women's section, is still pushing strong, after a 6-4 6-2 victory over Miranda Ramirez. Her next rival will be Anna Rogers who beat Elise Van Heuvelen 6-3 3-6 10-2, overcoming a slower second set to emerge as a winner. Lauren Proctor eases past Tatiana Nikolaeva by 6-3 6-1, setting up the quarter-final clash against Felicity Maltby who prevailed against Adriana Reami by 2-6 6-3 10-5. In another close match, Sarah Dvorak beat the 6th seed Olivia Hauger 6-0 6-7 10-6 and she will face the 3rd seed Jessie Aney, who toppled Aleksandra Zenovka 6-4 6-4. Meghan Kelley and home star Donika Bashota set the last quarter-final clash and there will be some very interesting battles for the place in the semis.
