Peter MacDonald, men's tennis head coach at Gonzaga Bulldogs, announced the addition of Bryan Husin to his 2017-18 roster, joining 7 returners and 1 freshman. Husin is a sophomore who comes from Jakarta, Indonesia, and he spent his first season at the University of the Pacific, playing 9 matches for the Tigers. This 18-year-old had a chance to make a professional debut at the age of 14 way back in 2012, and that Indonesia F4 Futures stayed the only main draw for him so far.
He was ranked inside the Top 300 on the ITF junior list last season, finishing junior career with both singles and doubles title at Grade 5 event in Surabaya. Husin was also a member of the U14 and U16 squads of his country in the Junior Davis Cup.
“We’re really excited about Bryan joining the team,” said Gonzaga head coach Peter MacDonald. “He comes from a great tennis background and has a lot of high-level experience. He works hard, is very coachable, and will definitely be a boost to our program.”SOURCE: Bryan Husin Joins MTEN Squad ALSO READ: Melissa Kopinski is the new women's assistant coach at Illinois
