The moment they saw Jannik Sinner entering the field and heading toward his seat, the supporters of AC Milan, who crowded into the famous San Siro Stadium to support their favorite team for the UEFA Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday, started chanting the Italian's name because, after all, he was the one who led Italy to win Davis Cup.

Milanese journalist Antonello Gioia shared the moment on X.

Here are some of the top reactions to the video above:
  • "Gave Italy the Davis cup as well, he deserves the chant."
  • "Goosebumps.

I love Novak, but I really hope Sinner builds up on this momentum"

  • "The fun thing is that Djokovic is an AC Milan fan too!"

Jannik Sinner said the Davis Cup win was "special"

After he led Italy to win the Davis Cup following a 47-year hiatus, Jannik Sinner was proud of his team's achievement.

"This success is particular and special. We've known we had a great group for a couple of years now. We've managed to put the pieces together. Matteo Berrettini had a very difficult season due to injuries, but I want to underline the fact that he was here with us and he supported us.

This is the most important thing: being a team. We are happy to be able to raise this special cup. I thank all the Italians, the public who believed in us even when things were difficult. I brought a lot of energy from Turin and we made an even bigger group.

I'm really happy. We have already suffered in Bologna, but we have always remained there. Yesterday against Serbia we were just one point away from defeat and now we lift the Cup," Sinner said.
