Rafael Nadal is the top seed in the Australian Open draw. The world No. 1 isn't expected to have a rough first week, as he will open his campaign against Victor Estrella Burgos. In the second round Nadal would face Leonardo Mayer or Nicolas Jarry, then Damir Dzumhur in the third round. Nadal would open his second week against John Isner or Diego Schwartzman, then in the quarters he is set to face Marin Cilic or Gilles Muller.

In the second part of the top half, Grigor Dimitrov is the highest seed. After two rounds against qualifiers, the 2017 semifinalist would face Andrey Rublev in the third round, then Nick Kyrgios or Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the fourth. Dimitrov is set to meet Jack Sock or Kevin Anderson in the quarters.

In the bottom half Roger Federer leads the way. The defending champion will open his run against Aljaz Bedene, then would face Jan-Lennard Struff or the wild card Kwon. In the third round, Federer could meet Richard Gasquet, who beat the Swiss just two times on 18 matches played. In the fourth round, the 19-time Grand Slam winner would meet Sam Querrey or Milos Raonic, then David Goffin or Juan Martin del Potro in the quarters. 

The other part of the bottom half features Alexander Zverev and Dominic Thiem as top seeds. In the quarters Novak Djokovic would meet Zverev, Stan Wawrinka against Thiem.
