The American tennis is experiencing a phase of rebirth after the transition period following Serena Williams' 2017 Australian Open victory, her temporary stop after her first pregnancy and her retirement in September 2022.

The rise of new talents like Coco Gauff, Ben Shelton and the confirmations obtained by Jessica Pegula are certainly a happy note for North American tennis.

As for the path taken, it seems that American tennis is focusing on the discovery and development of young talents, as demonstrated by the growth of players like Gauff and Shelton.

Furthermore, maintaining a good balance between investment in the men's and women's sectors is crucial to ensuring a prosperous future for both disciplines.

The return of tennis's popularity in the United States is a positive indicator, as support from fans and sponsors is critical to maintaining interest and visibility in American tennis.

By continuing down this path and taking advantage of emerging talent, American tennis could certainly reach new heights of success in the coming years.

Coco Gauff's victory at the US Open and Ben Shelton's semifinal in the same tournament could be a very important divide.

Because American tennis may have found two new rulers, capable of breaking both the WTA and the ATP Tours. Gauff, born in 2004, made an international sensation at the age of 15. She reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon in 2019 and won her first WTA title in 2021.

She was widely considered one of the brightest promises of American women's tennis. Now she has become reality. The final of the Roland Garros 2022 and the triumph at the US Open 2023 marked her definitive rise: she is the true heir of Serena Williams.

Shelton, born in 2002, is the face of American men's tennis, which is made up of a solid team, which is also followed by Frances Tiafoe, Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul. However, American tennis is also represented by players, such as the legendary Venus Williams, in the final phase of her iconic career, Jessica Pegula, Sloane Stephens and Sofia Kenin. A rebirth?
