The official groups of the new edition of the Nitto ATP Finals 2023 have been drawn and, at least in theory, Novak Djokovic seems to have a clear path towards the semi-finals. The draw has finally revealed the cards on the table: the eight tennis players who will take part in the competition have learned about the three players they will have to face during the first phase, with the aim of passing the round and qualifying for the semi-finals.
Italy, which hosts the tournament, will be a great protagonist with a tennis player among the participants: it is naturally Jannik Sinner, who has achieved his goal of playing this year-end Masters and now wants to amaze the many fans who will support him in the stands.
We will start on Sunday 12th November with the first matches, and on the 19th the final which will offer the last prestigious title of 2023 up for grabs. In addition to the points up for grabs - 1500 for an athlete who manages to win en plein, 5 wins out of 5 - the Finals they boast a record prize pool: almost $5 million for the winner.

ATP Finals preview: Novak Djokovic has an easier path
Therefore, Sinner will play in the group stage with the Serbian champion Novak Djokovic, thus avoiding him in a hypothetical semifinal.
But in addition to Sinner, Djokovic will also have Tsitsipas and Rune in the group, who are experiencing complicated moments in their season. It seems clear that, at least - we reiterate - in theory, Djokovic will have a relatively easy path.
Sinner will have to try to impose himself against Tsitsipas and Rune, very difficult opponents, to get through the round, but which the Italian, in an excellent state of psychological and physical form, can still overcome.
Not a very simple draw but the level of the tournament this year is very high: there are practically no simple players to face. Carlos Alcaraz saved himself from Djokovic and Sinner, finding the two Russians Medvedev and Rublev, as well as Zverev, in the other group.
Alcaraz comes from a particular period after Wimbledon: since July he has no longer been able to emulate the fantastic results at the beginning of the season, a sign of a clear decline in physical condition, due to a very exhausting first part of the season. However, the Spaniard remains the favorite to reach the semi-finals, together with Daniil Medvedev.
