On Sunday night, all eyes will be on centre stage to watch the World No 1 take on the World No 2 for the men’s US Open 2015 title. Novak Djokovic will be eyeing only his second US Open crown while Roger Federer will be aiming for a 6th title in the Big Apple.
This will be the 43rd time these two players will go up against each with the Swiss Maestro holding a slight advantage 21-20 in the head to head department. However, Djokovic leads the hard court affairs 16-14. Federer has beaten the Serbian 3 times at the US Open while Djokovic is not far behind with 2 wins of his own.
And in 12 finals played on hard courts between each other, both players have managed to split it 6 apiece, making Sunday’s final to be as exciting as ever. Both players have had a tremendous year with the Serbian aiming to cap it off with a third grand slam victory.
On the other hand, Federer has managed to redefine his career over the course of this season and looks to return to grand slam glory with a victory on Sunday – aiming for an 18th major title and his first since winning Wimbledon in 2012.
