10. (256) Lars-Anders Wahlgren defeated (17) Derrick Rostagno World number 256 Lars-Anders Wahlgren of Sweden surprised 17th ranked American player Derrick Rostagno in the second round of Australian Open in 1992. Wahlgren was ranked 239 places lower than Rostagno but he defeated the American player in straight sets 6-1, 7-5, 7-6(3).

Wahlgren was beaten by world number 24 Omar Camporese in the third round.
