The only known note, the four defeats in so many challenges with Federer, for the rest, in 2018 he will once again be the man to beat. Tank!
Roger Federer, 10 and counting. he is back to flay on the tennis courts, painting tennis, using his racquet as a brush, drawing masterpieces of inexhaustible beauty. His arm gave such exciting magics that even Harry Potter could not do. He multiplied dropshpts and volée, coming back to win two Slams, and defeating his nemesis in four challenges. He has not returned number one of the world, but the emotions he has raised in the hearts of fans and sports enthusiasts have been unforgettable. Merlin!
Grigor Dimitrov, 9. Finally the talent of the Bulgarian tennis player is blossoming, like a flower waiting for the sun. He has finally proved to not be just a promise but a true champion, winning the ATP Finals and the first Masters 1000 of career. The hope is that this breath of fresh air in the ATP Tour, asphyxiated in the last years by the Fab Five, is not destined to run out. At the top!
Alexander Zverev, 8. The tournaments won this season are just the starter of what he expects from him in 2018. The victories in Rome and Montreal and the total of five titles won, however, should not be deceiving; In the Slam tournaments the guy did not handle the pressure, not keeping the expectations. Anyway, reality!
Lucas Pouille and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, 7. The victory in Davis Cup, returning home after 16 years, was the icing on the cake of teh season, for them very good. Tsonga won four titles (record), Pouille three. In the middle, some injury and some void passage, but overall very well. Nationalists!
Jack Sock, 7. He was the surprise of the year, winning Paris-Bercy and achieving the miraculous qualification in London, where he played a good tournament at the O2 Arena. The three titles won in 2017 and the good level of play, show all the progress that this guy did. American One!
