The curtain rises on the Australian Open 2019! Caroline Wozniacki will have the hard achievement to defend last year's title. Simona Halep, Serena Williams and all the other stars will try to become the new queen of the Australian Major.

Martina Hingis - 2002. For the second consecutive year, Capriati defeated Martina Hingis in the Melbourne final after three thrilling sets, ended 4–6, 7–6(7), 6–2, thus winning the second Australian Open title!

2) Serena Williams vs. Venus Williams - 2003. Defeating her sister in the final in three sets for 7–6(4), 3–6, 6–4, Serena won the first Australian Open of her career, and was confirmed as the brightest star of American women's tennis.

Smith recovered a set of disadvantage to her opponent, before defeating her in three sets, (final score 2–6, 7–6, 7–5) and winning her 10th title at the Australian Open! 5) Simona Halep vs. Angelique Kerber - 2018.

Last year semifinal was one of the most beautiful match of the season, and one of the best in Melbourne. After a very balanced and hard fought match, Halep defeated the German in three sets, with the final score of 6-3 4-6 9-7, reaching her first Australian Open final!
