With the end of Roland Garros 2019 the clay season officially ended; from today we change the surface, with grass-courts that will be the great protagonists of the coming weeks. This month will take us to the heart of the Summer and in the very heart of the tennis season, which will reach its climax during the world most famous fortnight, at the All England Club.
This week (10-16 June 2019) four events will be played: two men's tournaments and two women's tournaments. The boys will play on the grass-courts of the Stuttgart Open, in Stuttgart, Germany (ATP 250), and on the grass courts of the Rosmalen Grass Court Championships, in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands (ATP 250).
In Germany there will be Alexander Zvere, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Jo-Wilfired Tsonga, Milos Raonic, Denis Shapovalov, Gael Monfils, Nick Kyrgios and Kharen Khachanov. In Netherlands there will be Stefanos Tsitsipas, Richard Gasquet, David Goffin, Frances Tiafoe and Borna Coric.
The tournament will be a combined ATP / WTA. Among the girls (WTA International) there will be Kiki Bertens, Amanda Anisimova, Petra Martic, Elise Mertens and Aryna Sabalenka. Finally there will be the Nature Valley Nottingham Open, in Nottingham, Great Britain (WTA International).
Caroline Garcia leads the draw. With her there will be Dayana Yastremska, Yulia Putintseva, Kristina Mladenovic and Donna Vekic. It will be an introductory week to the grass-swing 2019, where we will see many protagonists on the courts.
In these seven days there will also be the Challengers tournaments in Columbus (USA, on indoor hard-courts), Lyon (France, on clay-courts), Nottingham (Great Britain, on grass-courts), and Shymkent (Kazakhstan, on clay-courts).
