Week 29: Fognini will back in Umag, Isner in Newport

After the two weeks of Wimbledon, the grass-season closes with the Hall of Fame Open, in Newport, United States. This will be the last tournament of 2019 on grass-courts (ATP 250), where the seed is not. 1 will be John Isner.

With him also Ivo Karlovic, Bernard Tomic, Adrian Mannarino and Tennys Sandgren. Fabio Fognini, after the controversy at the All England Club, will come back on the court at the Croatia Open, in Umag (ATP 250 played on clay-courts).

The Italian will leads the draw. With him also Borna Coric and Marco Cecchinato. This week there will also be a third ATP event, the Swedish Open, in Båstad (ATP 250 played on clay-courts), where the seed no. 1 will be Christian Garin.

There will also be Pablo Cuevas, Richard Gasquet and Fernando Verdasco. Girls will play two WTA events: the Bucharest Open, in Bucharest, (Romania, WTA International played on clay-courts) and the Ladies Open Lausanne, in Lausanne (Switzerland, WTA International played on clay-courts).

In Romania there will be Anastasija Sevastova and Viktoria Kuzmova to lead the drw, while in Switzerland there will be many stars: Julia Goerges, Timea Bacsinszky, Eugenie Bouchard, Daria Gavrilova and Caroline Garcia. There will also be three ATP Challenger tournaments: in Amersfoort (Holland, on clay courts), Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan, on hard courts) and in San Benedetto (Italy, on clay-courts). The last event will be the women's ITF of Honolulu (USA, played on hard-courts).
