The last week of July will take us into the heart of summer. In these seven days, there will be five events: three ATP tournaments and two WTA tournaments. Men will play at the Washington Open (USA, ATP 500 on hard-courts), at the Los Cabos Open (Mexico, ATP 250 on hard-courts) and at the Austrian Open (ATP 250 on clay-courts).
Stefanos Tsitsipas will lead the draw in Washington. With him, there will also be Kei Nishikori, Kevin Anderson, Marin Cilic, Milos Raonic, John Isner, Gael Monfils, Denis Shapovalov and Nick Kyrgios. In Los Cabos, Fabio Fognini leads the seeding.
There will also be Grigor Dimitrov, Diego Schwartzman, Christian Garin and Taylor Fritz. In Kitzbuhel, Austria, the home-player Dominic Thiem will be the star of the tournament. Also present were Fernando Verdasco, Richard Gasquet and Marco Cecchinato.
Women will play the combined ATP / WTA Washington Open (USA, WTA International on hard-courts) and the Silicon Valley Classic (USA, WTA Premier on hard-courts). In Washington, there will be Sloane Stephens who leads the seeding.
Then Madison Keys, Katerina Siniakova, Sofia Kenin and Camila Giorgi. In San Jose, the stars will be Elina Svitolina, Aryna Sabalenka, Amanda Anisimova, Garbine Muguruza, Victoria Azarenka, Jelena Ostapenko and Elise Mertens.
This week there will also be five ATP Challengers: the Chengdu Challenger (China, on hard-courts), the BNP Paribas Sopot Open (Poland, on hard-courts), the Open Castilla y León (Spain, on hard-courts), the Kentucky Bank Tennis Championships (USA, on hard courts) and the Svijany Open (Czech Republic, on clay-courts). There will also be the WTA 125k Liqui Moly Open Karlsruhe (Germany, on clay-courts).
