Week 35: all the stars will compete at the US Open

The wait is over! The US Open 2019 are ready to give us two weeks of entertainment and excitement, with New York as a fascinating background. All the biggest stars of the ATP and WTA Tour are ready to challenge each other on the Flushing Meadows hard-courts, and to win the last Slam of the season.

Just to think that in the first round there will be a stellar match between Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova. It will be two weeks of chills. In men's singles, here are Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Kei Nishikori, Marin Cilic, Tomas Berydch, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Kevin Anderson, Milos Raonic, Daniil Medvedev, Karen Khachanov, David Goffin, Fabio Fognini, Gael Monfils and all the stars of the Next Generation.

Andy Murray has declined the wild-card while Juan Martin del Potro is still injured and he will not be there. The women's tournament is very interesting. Simona Halep, Serena Williams, Naomi Osaka, Karolina Pliskova, Petra Kvitova, Angelique Kerber, Garbine Muguruza, Sloane Stephens, Venus Williams, Caroline Wozniacki, Kiki Bertens, Elina Svitolina, Ashleigh Barty, Johanna Konta, Bianca Andreescu, Dayana Yastremska and Maria Sharapova are ready to fight in one of the most balanced editions of all time.

This week there will also be three Challenger tournaments: the International Challenger Baotou (China, on indoor clay-courts), the City of Como Challenger (Italy, on clay-courts), and the Rafa Nadal Open Banc Sabadell (Spain, on hard- courts).

On 2019 September 2nd, it will start the WTA 125K Oracle Challenger Series - New Haven (USA, on hard-courts).
