Week 41: Federer, Djokovic and Murray at the Shanghai Rolex Masters

The 41st week of the 2019 tennis season will close the men's Asian swing. The great protagonists of the ATP Tour will play the Shanghai Rolex Masters (eighth ATP Masters 1000 of the season) on the hard-courts of the Chinese metropolis.

As always it will be an extremely important event, especially for those looking for qualification points for the ATP Finals. Novak Djokovic leads the draw. On the courts Roger Federer, Dominic Thiem, Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Keren Khachanov, Fabio Fognini, Gael Monfils, Marin Cilic, David Goffin, Denis Shapovalov and Richard Gasquet.

Out Rafael Nadal for a wrist injury, Kevin Anderson, Milos Raonic, Stan Wawrinka, Nick Kyrgios and Kei Nishikori. Wild card for Andy Murray, at his third consecutive tournament (he will also play a fourth event, next week in Antwerp - ed).

Women will play two events: the Linz Open (Austria, WTA International on indoor hard-courts) and the Tianjin Open (China, WTA International on hard-courts). In Austria there will be Petra Kvitova, Belinda Bencic, Maria Sakkari, Julia Goerges and Katerina Siniakova.

In Tianjin there will be Sofia Kenini, Venus Williams, Dayana Yastremska, Caroline Garcia and Qiang Wang. Out Naomi Osaka, who played the final of teh Beijing Premenier Mandatory. This seven days will be three ATP challengers: the Milex Open (Dominican Republic, on clay courts), the Internationaux de Tennis de Vendée (France, on indoor hard courts) and the Fairfield Challenger (USA, on hard-courts).
