The 43rd tennis week sees Roger Federer's come back on the court, on his beloved Basel hard-courts. The Swiss Maestro won the tournament nine times and he would like to get the ten title, as he has already done this year in Halle.
Men will therefore play two tournaments: the Swiss Indoors (Switzerland, ATP 500 played on indoor hard-courts) and the Vienna Open (Austria, ATP 500 played on indoor hard-courts). In Basel, with Federer, there will be Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, David Goffin, Stan Wawrinka, Fabio Fognini, Marin Cilic and Richard Gaquet.
Wild card for Alex De Minaur. Dominic Thiem will lead the draw in Vienna. The homecrowd played will challenge Gael Monfils, Karen Khachanov, Matteo Berrettini, Milos Raonic, Grigor Dimitrov, Denis Shapovalov, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Hyeon Chung.
Wild-card for Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and the young Jannik Sinner. Women will plat the WTA Elite Trophy, on the hard-courts of Zhuhai, in China. In this event there will be players who, in the 2019 WTA Race, qualified from 9th to 19th position, plus a wild-card.
Kiki Bertens, Sofia Kenin, Madison Keys, Aryna Sabalenka, Petra Martin, Elise Mertens, Alison Riske, Donna Vekic, Maria Sakkari and Dayana Yastremska are already on the tournament. This seven days ther will also be five ATP Challenger events: the Brest Challenger (France, on indoor-courts), the Latrobe City Traralgon ATP Challenger (Australia, on hard courts), the Tennis Challenger Hamburg (Germany, on indoor hard- courts) courts), the Lima Challenger (Peru, on clay-courts) and the Liuzhou Open (China, on hard-courts)
