The countdown to the end of the 2019 tennis season is about to begin. This seven days there will be two very important events: the ATP Next Gen Finals at the Fed Cup final. The ATP Next Gen Finals (from 5 to 9 November 2019) will take place on the indoor hard-courts of the PalaLido Allianz Cloud, after two years at Fiera Milano.
The protagonists, in Milan, will be Alex De Minaur, Frances Tiafoe, Ugo Umbert, Casper Ruud, Miomir Kecmanović, Mikael Ymer, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and the wild-card Jannik Sinner. It should be a very interesting tournament, especially to assess the progress of all the young stars of the ATP Tour.
The Fed Cup final (from 9 to 10 November 2019) will close the 2019 women's season. On the hard-court of the RAC Arena of Perth, Australia and France will compete to win the 57th edition of the tournament. Australia won the tournament for 7 times (1964, 1965, 1968, 1970, 1971, 1973, 1974), France won the title two times (1997 and 2003).
It will be a very balanced challenge, with Ashleigh Barty who will face Kristina Mladenovic. This week there will also be four ATP Challenger events: the Slovak Open (Slovakia, on indoor hard courts), the Knoxville Challenger (USA, on indoor hard courts), the Kobe Challenger (Japan, on indoor hard-courts) and the Uruguay Open (Uruguay, on clay-courts).
