Fed Cup Final - Sixth loss in a row for Sloane Stephens, Belarus-USA 2-2!

Sixth loss in a row on six matches played after winning US Open title for Sloane Stephens. The World No. 13 lost to Aliaksandra Sasnovich 4-6 6-1 8-6 in two hours and 23 minutes, and now the tie between Belarus and United States is tied on 2-2.

The doubles match will be decisive for the final's verdict. In the fourth game of the first set Stephens broke at love, then she saved a break point to lead 3-1, then again four breaks on 4-3, none of them were consecutive.

She managed to hold the serve in that game hitting an amazing stop volley on the last point, and won the set. After dominating the second set, Sasnovich went down 2-5 in the third set. Stephens unsuccessfully served to win the match on 5-3, was broken and got tied on 5-5.

Sasnovich went on to win her fourth game in a row to break again, but on 6-5 she could not close the match as she lost three points in a row from 15-15. There were so many hps and downs, but at the end Stephens's defensive gamestyle and Sasnovich's power prevailed.
