Tennis: Top seeds Cara Black and Sania Mirza have successfully defended their doubles title in Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo with a straight sets win over Garbine Muguruza and Carla Suarez Navarro in the final. Sania Mirza and Cara Black are strong contenders to qualify for the WTA Year Ending Championships which will be played in Singapore.
They are ranked 4th in the race, just behind second ranked Su-Wei Hsieh/Peng Shuai and third ranked Elena Makarova/Elena Vesnina. Mirza and Black won the first set easily 6-2 and were made to work hard by the Spaniards in the second set as they won 7-5.
They were 3-5 down in the second set but won last 4 games to win the title. This is 59th career title for Cara Black and 21st for Sania Mirza. This is their second title of the season and 4th since last year.
