Saketh Myneni conferred with Indian Sports Award

Indian tennis player Saketh Myneni was conferred with India’s sporting honour – the Arjuna Award recently and he had something to say about the award being given. Ranked as high as No.137 in the World, Myneni has been a constant stay in India’s Davis Cup team when fit and is now coming back post an injury.

Here is what he had to say - “Pleased, honoured and humbled to be conferred with the prestigious Arjuna Award. This acknowledgement will serve as an inspiration for me to win more medals for the country and also to contribute my bit for the development of sports in the country.” “A very special thanks to Arjuna committee and GOI for selecting me.

The contribution of all the coaches, trainers & physios, that I have had the good fortune to work with, is invaluable. And, of course without the support of my family and friends this wouldn't have been possible.” Congratulations to all the other Arjuna and Khel Ratna award winners!
