Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev are the three tennis players who have won over 60 matches in the season. The last to enter this exclusive club was the Italian who, without making too many calculations, beat Holger Rune, qualifying as first in the Green Group at the ATP Finals in Turin.

Behind him Novak Djokovic, who after beating Hubert Hurkacz in the afternoon had his destiny in the hands of the Italian tennis player Jannik, with a sumptuous performance (and despite some back problems) also managed to win the third match out of the three he played in his group.

And he did also thanks to the continuous support of the crowd, who acclaimed him as a true hero. Thanks to the triumph over the young Dane, Sinner achieved his 60th victory of the season. Ahead of him are only Carlos Alcaraz, with 64 seasonal victories and Daniil Medvedev, with 66 seasonal victories.

Medvedev cannot be reached by Sinner who, even if he were to win the tournament, would reach 62 victories for the season. Alcaraz, by winning the tournament, would equal Medvedev with 66 victories, if the Russian were to lose in the semifinals.

Medvedev, who in any case will close this statistic in first place, albeit shared, will need to win the semi-final against Sinner in order to be the tennis player with the most victories this season. The number 4 in the ATP ranking will challenge Daniil Medvedev tomorrow afternoon to obtain a historic qualification in the final of the year-end Masters.

With the success against Rune, Sinner has beaten all the participants in this competition at least once in his career. The only two missing were Djokovic and Rune himself, they joined everyone else

Sinner his ready to play tomorrow: and below you can eead his words

At the press conference, Sinner wanted to immediately reassure everyone about his physical condition: "Back problems? A little in the second set but fortunately it went away immediately.

At a certain point I made a movement and felt something but it went away, my body is fine. It was important for me to restart after the victory with Djokovic, start from scratch and be ready for a tough fight against Rune. I had never won against him and I finally did it, he is a great tennis player with a great serve, it was fantastic to win." On the match he continued: "I started very well, then from the second set he improved and it was very difficult to break him.

It was a good victory, now let's see what happens on Saturday. I have the chance to play two more matches, let's see what happens over the weekend."
