Jannik Sinner has matched an ATP Finals milestone that belonged to Roger Federer for twenty years! The Italian tennis player qualified for the final of the year-end Masters by beating the Russian Daniil Medvedev for the third time in just over a month, defeated in a three-set battle.

Sinner reached the final of the Masters Tournament without losing a match at 22 years old. A record that hasn't happened for some time and which allows Jannik to now share it with Roger Federer. In fact, the last player to reach the final of the ATP Finals without losing a match was the Swiss Maestro, in the 2003 edition.

And Jannik was able to match Federer's record also thanks to the crowd in Turin

And Jannik managed to equal Federer's record also thanks to the support of the crowd present at the PalaAlpitour in Turin. The people present supported Sinner from the first to the last exchange and showed all their warmth during the post-match interview.

The Italian wanted to thank the people present on the Central Court, expressing all his joy: "It was a very difficult match. He started very well by playing better than me, but somehow I managed to break him and feel better in the court.

Since I arrived here in Turin, I have felt the warmth and energy of the crowd. This energy that the audience is giving me is crazy, so I want to thank everyone. I tried to start more aggressively, he shot much harder. Then this court is very fast.

I served very well and I'm really happy with this performance. Let's see how things go tomorrow. It's great to be the first Italian to reach the final in this tournament. Obviously it was a really tough match. I expected him to change a little compared to the last few games.

At the beginning I struggled a lot, he was pushing a lot and was more aggressive. I felt a lot of emotions after the match point. The atmosphere was crazy once again. Sharing these moments with the Italian crowd means a lot to me."
