Jannik Sinner played an amazing season, culminating with the final at the ATP Finals, and obtaining a sensational result thanks to the victories against the top 5 of the ATP ranking. The Italian had never been lucky and so incisive in this type of match, but in 2023 he reversed the trend in a big way and has grown a lot, significantly improving his statistics.

The Italian's season was so important that it made history: in fact, since 2000, only Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer had managed to win 9 or more matches against tennis players ranked in the top-5 of the ATP ranking.

A fact that certifies the great work done by the team and by the athlete himself, who reached the Big 3 in this club before other young tennis players. A peculiarity adds prestige to the achievement: the Spaniard achieved it at the same age as the Italian (22 years old), while both Djokovic and Federer were older.

The numbers confirm that 2023 was one to remember: the objective will be to reconfirm itself and perhaps further improve the results.

Below are the matches won by Jannik

Here, in detail, are the 9 victories obtained by the tennis player coached by Simone Vagnozzi and Darren Cahill this season:

Stefanos Tsitsipas in the round of 16 in Rotterdam
