The victory at Roland Garros had many meanings for Carlos Alcaraz. One of which concerns head-to-heads. In fact, only seven tennis players have the advantage in head-to-head matches against the young Spaniard, who eliminated Zverev from the list to reach 5-5.

Novak Djokovic is ahead 3-2, thanks to the victories obtained at the ATP Masters 1000 in Cincinnati and at the Nitto ATP Finals in 2023. Rafael Nadal is also part of the group, who beat him in the first two matches and then lost at the Mutua Madrid Open in 2022. The other names are quite surprising and refer to the first steps taken by Alcaraz in the ATP Tour. Mikael Ymer is 2-0: Australian Open and Winston-Salem 2021. Thiago Monteiro can boast an unexpected 2-0, but Alcaraz retired at 1-1 in Rio de Janeiro with an ankle injury. On 1-0 there are Roman Safiullin (ATP Masters 1000 Paris-Bercy 2023), Hugo Gaston (ATP Masters 1000 Paris-Bercy 2021) and Alexander Erler (ATP 250 Kitzbühel 2021).

The youngest number 1 in tennis history, a milestone achieved in 2022 after the triumph at the US Open and, now, the youngest player to win at least one Slam on all playing surfaces, however, has no intention of waiting for anyone and, thanks to the success obtained at Roland Garros, he signed this incredible record of precocity. The Spaniard showed great mental strength both in the semi-final against Jannik Sinner and in the final against Alexander Zverev.

Despite not consistently expressing his best tennis, Alcaraz found a way to win both matches and leave Paris with the Musketeers Cup, a dream he had dreamed of since his first international tournament played right under the Eiffel Tower at the age of 12. The challenges with Sinner and Zverev were resolved in the fifth set, which Alcaraz again took to his side. There are eleven victories in the deciding set in a Slam out of twelve matches: the only defeat in five sets came in 2022 at the Australian Open against Matteo Berrettini.
