Barbora Strycova has made it clear that Maria Sharapova is not her friend. "I'm not her friend, no I'm not," Strycova told The Times. "I don't think anyone is her friend on the tour.
She doesn't have [friends] I don't think because she doesn't talk to anybody." It is really surprising that the Czech is having issues with Sharapova’s return when she herself was suspended for six months in 2013 after testing positive for a banned stimulant, although she claimed it was the result of a supplement she had been taking to boost her metabolism.
"I think it's not OK," she said about the manner in which Sharapova was returning. "When you do something like this, you have to be punished. Of course you are punished to not play [during a suspension] but it's your fault.
But, of course, she is Maria and what can you do? "I will not get pissed off about it but I'm shocked with what is happening at the tournament in Stuttgart. Suddenly she can play on Wednesday [her first possible return date], we are coming from playing in the Fed Cup and we have to play on Tuesday.
This is what I don't like." ALSO READ Maria Sharapova: I LEARNED THAT LIFE CAN BE OK WITHOUT TENNIS
