Andreea Prisacariu: Novak Djokovic just needs to overcome hatred of some people

World No. 310 Andreea Prisacariu says Novak Djokovic is a great champion and she is confident that the Serb will overcome all the challenges and return to the top spot. The 2022 season has been especially challenging for Djokovic, who wasn't allowed to compete at the Australian Open.

Now, Djokovic is set to lose 2,000 points following the ATP's decision not to award any points at The Championships. Also, as it stands now, Djokovic won't be allowed to enter the United States for the US Open. Prisacariu thinks Djokovic is "strong enough to overcome the hatred of some people" and to return to winning Grand Slams.

Prisacariu: Djokovic will write more pages of tennis history books

"First, he didn't leave the top. he is still at the top, we must not forget that. Everything that has happened to him in the past few months shows how strong he is.

The events in Australia and the loss of points from Wimbledon. It doesn't matter if he is number one on the ATP list, because he is the world number one for all of us who support him. I believe that he will return to the top one hundred percent, I have no doubt about that, he just needs to be strong enough to overcome the hatred of some people, I am convinced that he will succeed and win many more Grand Slam trophies, he will write many more pages of history, such is Nole, there is no doubt about that," Prisacariu told

Djokovic hasn't played in any grass events this grass season, but he is planning to play a match or two at the Hurlingham exhibition next week. Djokovic is a six-time Wimbledon champion as he has won the tournament's past three editions.

Djokovic will be a top favorite for the Wimbledon crown as he is aiming to win his 21st Grand Slam in a few weeks time.
