French coach praises Novak Djokovic for how he treats young players

Former French tennis player Stephane Robert has praised Novak Djokovic as he says the Serb is always willing to give advice and even help financially promising players. Robert, who now works as tennis coach, has arrived to the Novak Tennis Centre in Belgrade.

“Here, it's serious but in a friendly atmosphere! Novak Djokovic is really into it. He does not hesitate to often give advice to young people. He is very, very attentive and very involved, he also helps promising players financially, from his heart," Robert told We Love Tennis.

"There's no fuss here, and we work well. The structure is top notch. Djokovic gave free access to all Serbian players but also to neighboring countries."

Hamad Medjedovic is one of the most promising and talented Serbian players.

In a recent interview with Sportal, Eldin Medjedovic - the father of Hamad - revealed that Djokovic offered the plan for the next steps in the 19-year-old's development. When Medjedovic's father acknowledged that it costs a lot of money, Djokovic said that he would take of all the costs.

Hamad Medjedovic was lost for words after Djokovic's extremely generous gesture. "Novak is really trying hard to help Hamad," Eldin Medjedovic told Sportal. "He was giving me ideas, what to do about Hamad, and I remember saying to him: 'Nole, I'm sorry, but it all costs money!' He continues, suggests me a coach, talks about how we will do, what we will do and adds: 'It's up to Hamad to train, I'll do the rest!' I tell him again: 'Nole, it costs money!' Then Novak told me: 'Edo, I don't do this for money!

I have a place to earn money. Simply, my role and my task is to help." This week, Medjedovic revealed that Djokovic is often texting him and asking him if needs anything. Medjedovic said that he is simply happy and blessed to have one of the greatest players of all-time as his mentor.
