Alcaraz reacts to US Open poster that left out Novak Djokovic

Carlos Alcaraz reacted on Twitter after seeing the US Open Batman-style poster that left out Novak Djokovic. The ATP world number four wrote 3 emojis to describe the poster: one that means he is star-struck, one with the Statue of Liberty, and one with a tennis ball.

The reaction denotes the young Spaniard’s excitement to play this year’s US Open. Alcaraz said nothing about the absence of Novak Djokovic from the poster, although he is a big fan of the Big Three.

"I'm trying to see the trainings of the best players," Alcaraz said, per Eurosport. "[Dan] Evans, I think he plays very well on grass. I'm trying to copy some things from the best ones. I always watch videos of Federer, Djokovic, Rafa, Andy (Murray) as well, trying to copy the moves and stuff from them”.

US Open leaves Djokovic out of Batman art poster

Novak Djokovic was left out of a Batman artwork posted on the US Open's Instagram account, confirming the Serbian's absence from the tournament. US Open captioned the post, "The city is calling."

Many fans reacted to the artwork by wondering where Nole was. He will almost certainly miss this year's edition because he has not been immunized. Over the last two months, Djokovic has received a lot of support, including from American politicians. Several US senators criticized the rule that prevents Djokovic from entering the country, but the Joe Biden administration did not implement the change that Djokovic desired.

Even Daniil Medvedev, who defeated Djokovic in last year's US Open final, has expressed a desire to see Djokovic at Flushing Meadows this year.
