The 2022 Laver Cup left unrepeatable moments for both the fans and the protagonists themselves who took advantage of this event to be close to their rivals and, incidentally, get closer to them in their personal relationship.
One of those who made the most of the occasion was the Serbian Novak Djokovic, who recognized after the defeat of Team Europa that in his case, it was a good opportunity to get to know Roger Federer more closely. "I feel like these weeks of Laver Cup have strengthened our ties.
As Roger mentioned, we've had the opportunity and time to go into each other's brains, spend quality time off the court with some really interesting conversations about tennis, but also of life in general. It has allowed us to understand and get to know each other better, which is very nice", commented the former number one in the world in statements taken up by 'Punto de Break'
The moment in which Nole encouraged the rest of the players who participated in the the event to charge Federer as a tribute to his career on the courts. Of the insurmountable Big-3, there are still two of them active, who will still fight for the lead in the tight classification for being the top winner of Grand Slams.
"Nadal is still there, so my biggest rival will continue to be Rafa as long as he continues to play," said the Serbian, who still does not see the members of the NextGen as his rival to beat. And he doubts very much that he will find it.
