Andrey Rublev wasn't interested in finding excuses after his US Open exit at the Russian highlighted that Novak Djokovic found a way to win in the same conditions just a day earlier. When Rublev was asked about his US Open quarterfinal loss, he refused to put any blame on the conditions for it, highlighting that Djokovic won in similar conditions a day earlier.

Following his US Open loss to Medvedev, Rublev's record in Grand Slam quarterfinals was pushed to 0-9. Rublev will now have to wait for 2024 to make his first Grand Slam semifinal.
