Nick Kyrgios believes Novak Djokovic "has got a couple more Grand Slams in him." Djokovic, who turned 36 in May, was a finalist in all four Grand Slams this year. Djokovic, the first male player ever to reach 24 Grand Slam titles, only didn't win Wimbledon this year, where he was beaten by Carlos Alcaraz in tight five sets in the final.

"I think he (Novak Djokovic) is the best ever. Like [24] Grand Slams and I think he’s got a couple more in him as well, it’s crazy. I don’t think he gets the credit he deserves enough. He’s almost been on tour for like 20 years as well, like the longevity," Kyrgios on the Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson podcast.

Kyrgios backs Djokovic to win more Grand Slams

Djokovic's most recent Grand Slam win came at the US Open, where he defeated Daniil Medvedev to win his 24th Major title.

After his win, 36-year-old Djokovic jokingly suggested he might stay in pro tennis for 23 or 24 more years. After confirming there were no plans on his side to retire, Djokovic also said he is not chasing a specific Slam number.

However, Djokovic underlined that winning more Slams remains his top priority. “I don’t put any number right now in my mind on how many slams I want to win until the end of my career. I don’t really have any number.

I’ll continue to prioritize them as my most important tournaments and where I want to play the best tennis. So that will not change. That will stay the same in the next season or I don’t know how many more seasons I have in my legs.

So let’s see," Djokovic said. Djokovic is now tied with Margaret Court on tennis' all-time record list with 24 Grand Slams. In 2024, Djokovic will attempt to become the first ever tennis player - male or female - to win 25 Grand Slams.
