Novak Djokovic is ready to dive into the final part of the season, during which the Serbian champion is expected to play three events. Nole will be present at the ATP Master 1000 in Paris-Bercy, before flying to Turin for the Nitto ATP Finals.
To conclude the season he will also play in the Davis Cup finals scheduled in Malaga. On the last commitments of an exceptional year, Nole expressed himself in an interview with Sportal, in which he said: "After New York and Valencia I returned to my usual routines.
I found a balance and the time I spend with the my children gives me energy and makes me recover quickly. Now I am a more active father in this sense. Of course everything is going well. We drew up a three-week plan until the first match in Bercy.
I still have three appointments left and my ambitions are always important. I have to prepare well, there are three competitions in four weeks. It will be intense, with many very demanding races. Despite this, I have high expectations.
In some ways my biggest wish between now and the end of the season is to win the Davis Cup. I hope that I will find my best level there, like the rest of the guys on the team."
Djokovic and the emotion of playing for Serbia
Djokovic then added, regarding the Davis Cup: "I think that this feeling towards the national team should also exist in the younger generations, who feel the honor and privilege of representing their country.
This is the way I grew up and what we have cultivated in the older generation, with names like Zimonjic, Troicki, Tipsarevic, Bozoljac, even Lajovic, people who were part of the 2010 generation of champions that added several semi-finals.
We all know that tennis is a sport full of emotions and I think that these weeks with the national team give us a huge stimulus, a different feeling of energy and brotherhood. I hope we can push ourselves a lot further and aim for the salad bowl."
