Novakd Djokovic won the 7th here Paris-Bercy and the 40th ATP Masters 1000 of an extraordinary career, by destroying Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets. The Serb continues to set records, also considering that he hadn't played for over a month and returned triumphant despite not being in optimal conditions, with his opponents collapsing one after the other.

With the victory at the Paris Rolex Masters, Nole has effectively closed the Ranking discussion with first place which will almost certainly go into his hands. In the press conference Nole talked about this and many other topics.

"The most difficult moment of the week? Well, there were a few to be honest! It was a very busy week, I had a stomach problem and it took a lot of energy out of me but fortunately I managed to find extra energy, especially in the three matches between Thursday and Saturday.

Considering what happened this week it is one of the most special victories in the ATP Masters 1000 category. Obviously as a good student I look at the numbers but at the same time I want to think about my next challenge. As long as I play tennis this will be my mentality and things won't change.

Everything that happened this week is fantastic but it's already behind me. I'm proud of all this but that's how it works for me. I still want to win, the 1000m and the Slams are the most important players in our sport and I'm happy.

I don't know what stage of my career I'm at, but I think every victory I have is worth double nowadays," explained Djokovic.

Novak Djokovic on his physical problems

On physical problems the Serb explained: "I feel great regarding my physical condition, but this virus has been my biggest opponent this week.

It's something particular for me, it won't happen every day and I had to face it together with my team. Are my victories depressing for others? You have to ask them, I try to do my best, and move forward. People always expect the best and in my case they expect finals.

I'm happy that it's like this and I'm one of the favorites in every tournament. But you have to understand that we are human beings and there are many things even outside the playing field. You have to accept the circumstances, this week I didn't play my best tennis but I managed to get by."
