Novak Djokovic claimed seven ATP titles in 2023, including three Majors, two Masters 1000 crowns and the ATP Finals. However, it was insufficient for Novak's coach Goran Ivanisevic to secure the ATP Coach of the Year award!

It went to Jannik Sinner's duo, with Daren Cahill and Simone Vagnozzi earning the honor after leading the young Italian toward a career-best season. Djokovic released a classy response, congratulating Sinner and his coaches but making it clear what he thought about the outcome.

Novak joked with his coach, wondering what else they needed to win in 2024 to secure the award for Goran. Sinner wrapped up the year in the top-4, winning four titles from seven finals. The Italian lifted his first Masters 1000 title in Canada and reached notable finals in Miami and the ATP Finals in front of the home fans in Turin.

On the other hand, Djokovic secured his eighth year-end no. 1 honor after a dominant display at Majors, winning three from four finals! Novak wrote history books, becoming the only player with three titles at all four Majors and celebrating 400 weeks on the ATP throne!

Novak Djokovic was unhappy about the ATP decision.

Novak launched the season with two titles, conquering Adelaide and celebrating his tenth Australian Open crown in Melbourne, matching Rafael Nadal's 22 Majors. The Serb missed Indian Wells and Miami, the final tournaments he had to skip due to his vaccination status.

Novak fell to Holger Rune in Rome before finding his A-game in Paris. Djokovic ousted Carlos Alcaraz and Casper Ruud, becoming the first player with 23 Major trophies. Novak was the favorite at Wimbledon, reaching the final and seeking his eighth The All England Club title.

Alcaraz prevailed in five sets, producing Djokovic's only defeat at Majors in 2023! Seeking revenge, Novak ousted Carlos in that epic Cincinnati final after nearly four hours, gathering a boost and lifting his 24th Major title at the US Open.

The Serb overpowered the Spaniard in the year-end no. 1 battle and cemented his status with notable trophies at the Paris Masters and the ATP Finals. All that was not enough for Novak's coach to win the ATP Coach of the Year award, and the Serb reacted sarcastically.
